In COVID-19 era CANADA Ranked One of the Safest Country in The World
A new study from the Deep Knowledge Group has ranked Canada as one of the safest countries in the world in the new COVID-19 era.
The study is designed to “classify, analyze, and rank the economic, social, and health stability” of countries after the emergence of the worldwide pandemic.
In assessing 20 countries, Deep Knowledge Group took into account 130 “quantitative and qualitative parameters” and gathered more than 11,400 bits of data, including quarantine efficiency, government handling, hospital availability, COVID monitoring and detection, protection against infection, emergency preparedness, and overall mortality rates.
According to the Deep Knowledge Group, the study is a starting point for discussion and can serve as “a resource for governments to optimize current and post-pandemic safety and stability, and as a toolset for establishing the best possible action plans for each particular region, in order to maintain the health and economic well-being of their populations and reverse the collateral damage caused by COVID-19.”
Israel took home the top spot on the list, with an overall tally of 751 points (out of 1,000), followed by Germany (749), and Switzerland (742).
Canada ranked 12th on the list (699), wedged between United Arab Emirates (700) and Hong Kong (698), and was the only country of any of the Americas to make the list.

Canada was recently ranked the second most beautiful country in the world, and now it is being hailed for its quality of life.
Rough Guides turned to their readers and social media followers to choose this year’s Most Beautiful Countries in the World. And our own “true north strong and free” made quite the showing: Canada was named the second-most beautiful country in the world.
Travelers are often inspired by the sights of a new country, so with aesthetics in mind, tour book company Rough Guides turned to their readers and social media followers to choose this year’s Most Beautiful Countries in the World. And our own “true north strong and free” made quite the showing: Canada was named the second-most beautiful country in the world.
Here’s what Rough Guides had to say about our eye-catching country:
“In a close call for second place is Canada: home of lumberjacks, beavers and maple syrup (if you believe everything you read). Of course, there’s much more on offer in Canada, not least its mixture of raw beauty and majestic landscapes. The Yukon Territory is a place of great wilderness, while B.C. mountains draw skiers and snowboarders in their thousands.”
Also citing the Instagram-appeal of Lake Louise, and the big city vibes of Toronto and Montreal, Rough Guides also grabs a quote from Vancouver-based @ToursByLocals on Twitter, who proclaim while there are “so many beautiful places in the world, but I’m still blown away by our hometown in B.C., Canada.”
Of course, we’ll join in with the local pride about beautiful B.C. and Vancouver. Condé Nast’s U.S. and U.K. readers also named Vancouver one of the best cities in the world again in 2018. If you landed on this item because you live elsewhere on the map and are planning a trip to Canada, take note: we’re also one of the most affordable countries in the world to visit.

In fact, Canada took the top spot for the category in the latest 2019 Best Countries Rankings by U.S. News and World Report. What’s more, this is the country’s fourth year in a row in the ranking’s top spot.
The ranking is formed in partnership with BAV Group as well as the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, in a, “study that surveyed more than 20,000 global citizens from four regions to assess perceptions of 80 countries on 75 different metrics.”
The category uses nine metrics to determine the country ranking: affordable, a good job market, economically stable, family friendly, income equality, politically stable, safe, well-developed public education system and well-developed public health system.
Canada scored highly in numerous metrics, such as political stability, where it was awarded the highest score, or 10. Likewise, the country was given a 10 for its well-developed public education system, as well as a 9.6 for its well-developed public health system.
